Eligibility Criteria

For NCOs and Sepoys

• Must be an Ex-Army or Ex-CAPF personnel.
• Should have retired within the last five years as of 20.11.2024.
• Must have been honorably discharged.
• Age limit:
  • Havildar/Naik/Lance Naik: 50 years (as on 20.11.2024)
  • Sepoy: 45 years (as on 20.11.2024)

For Ministerial Staff

• Must be an Ex-Army, Ex-Air Force, Ex-Navy, Ex-Coast Guard, or Ex-CAPF personnel.
• Retirement within five years and honorable discharge are mandatory.

Medical Requirements

• Candidates must be medically fit under the SHAPE-1 category.
• Good health and no psychiatric issues at the time of engagement are mandatory.

Character Verification

• Must have a good character rating (Good & Above).
• No criminal cases should be pending.

Note: No personnel will be eligible for further appointment after attaining the age of 60 years.

Selection Process

Candidates applying for the Odisha Special Striking Force Recruitment 2025 will have to undergo the following tests:

Document Verification

Original and self-attested photocopies of all the following documents must be submitted:

• Pension Payment Order (PPO)
• Discharge Book
• Ex-Servicemen Identity Card

Aadhar Card

Medical Test

Candidates will have to pass the medical fitness test conducted by a certified medical officer.

Physical Test

• 4 KM Run
• Maximum time allowed: 45 minutes

Interview

Candidates who clear all the previous stages will have to face the interview to finalize the selection process.

Terms of Engagement

• The appointment is purely term-based.
• The duty includes anti-Naxal operations or other tasks as decided by the DGP of Odisha.
• The initial appointment is for one year, which may be extended for further years or till the age of 60 years, depending on performance.
• The selected personnel will get uniform allowance and ex-gratia as per government guidelines
• Personnel are entitled to 15 days of special leave annually.

• Venue: Special Operations Group (SOG) Headquarters, Chandaka, Bhubaneswar, Odisha, PIN-751024.
• Reporting Time: Every Monday at 07:00 AM.
