OERC Recruitment 2026 Eligibility Criteria
Commission Secretary
A graduate degree from a recognised university, with 10 years of judiciary or administrative experience, including at least 5 years at management level.
Director of Tariff
A postgraduate degree in Economics, or a graduate degree in Electrical or Power Engineering, with 15 years of experience as a professional economist or engineer. At least 5 of those years must include managing professional staff.
Director of Engineering
A graduate degree in Electrical or Power Engineering, with 15 years of engineering experience, including at least 5 years at management level in large power utilities.
Director of Regulatory Affairs
Any one of: a graduate degree in Electrical or Power Engineering, a law degree, an MBA in Finance or equivalent, or CA / CMA / CFA. You also need 15 years of professional experience in power utilities, a regulatory commission, or central or state government, with at least 5 years in regulatory affairs.

OERC Salary 2026
All four posts carry Level 17, Cell 1 of the 7th Pay Matrix, with an initial basic pay of Rs. 1,35,100 per month. Dearness Allowance, House Rent Allowance and other allowances are paid as sanctioned by the State Government and OERC.
