The Odisha Staff Selection Commission (OSSC) has released an important notice regarding the main exam of Combined Recruitment Examination – 2024. This exam held on 27th April 2025 had a major problem where many OSSC exam questions were not from the syllabus sections.

Acknowledging the problem, OSSC has assured candidates that necessary steps will be taken to maintain fairness and transparency in the recruitment process.

In its notice (No. IIE-30/2024-2486/OSSC), the commission admitted that the question paper was missing some portions of the syllabus including General English, Odia Language and General Studies. This rare mistake has prompted OSSC to take immediate corrective action.

Plans for a Re-examination

To cover the missed sections, OSSC is actively considering conducting a new exam. Candidates who appeared in the earlier test are invited to share suggestions for corrective measures by emailing ossc.od@nic.in before 4th May 2025.
