About NTPC Kudgi Recruitment 2026
NTPC Limited, India’s largest energy conglomerate, has released a special recruitment drive notification (Advt. No. Kudgi: 02/2026) for filling up backlog vacancies at its Kudgi Super Thermal Power Station located in Karnataka. This special drive is specifically targeted at Scheduled Tribe (ST) candidates holding diploma qualifications in relevant engineering streams. Training, Emoluments & Career Placement
- Training Period: Selected candidates will undergo a rigorous 2-year training program at any of the NTPC sites or stations.
- Stipend: During the training period, trainees will be paid a consolidated stipend of βΉ24,000/- per month.
- Absorption & Pay Scale: Upon successful completion of training, candidates will be absorbed into the regular pay scale of βΉ24,000/- to βΉ3%-(W7 grade).
Educational Qualifications & Age Limit
- Essential Qualification: Full-time regular Diploma in Instrumentation Engineering or Electronics Engineering with passing marks from an institute recognized by BTE/AICTE or appropriate statutory authority.
- Upper Age Limit: Maximum 30 years (inclusive of 5 years relaxation for ST candidates) as on the last date of application. Additional relaxations apply for PwBD-ST, J&K domiciles, and ex-servicemen as per government guidelines.
Selection Process
The selection process consists of a two-stage online Computer Based Test (CBT):
- 1st Stage Online Test (Aptitude Test): Covers 120 multiple-choice questions on General English, Quantitative Aptitude, and Reasoning (Duration: 2 hours; 0.25 negative marking for wrong answers). This stage is qualifying in nature (minimum 30% marks), and candidates are shortlisted in a 1:10 ratio for the next stage.
- 2nd Stage Online Test (Technical Test): Covers 120 multiple-choice questions in the respective engineering discipline (Duration: 2 hours). Final selection and appointment offers are issued strictly based on merit derived from this stage.
